We Really Were Made for More
As I was cleaning up after a workout today, I listening in to a conversation between two men. They were talking about their weekend plans. One commented he wouldn't be doing much because this was a low money week. The other commented about going to Red Lobster for dinner. It would be the highlight of his weekend. To which the other responded that eating at Buffalo Wild Wings had been fantastic the other night. It became obvious that a major highlight of these guys lives was where they would eat out. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy food and eating out as much as anyone, but it isn't a highlight. Their conversation really caught me off guard. Am I really hearing what I think I'm hearing? I'm convinced I was. I was saddened for these two men. Everything in me wanted to grab them by the shoulders, look them in the eye, and say "You were made for so much more!
